We've all heard, read, talked about how wonderful books are. How they draw you into a whole new world, and take you on a fantastic adventure, fire you up, rip your heart out, and in the end, leave you oh-so-satisfied. (I don't know about ya'll, but I even hear music and sound effects in books. It's really a cinematic experience!) We also all know that books are rapidly decreasing in popularity with our generation. So of course, we book readers have fantastic arguments that tell what an amazing experience a good book holds for the reader. Now, our generation is all about being entertained with the least inconvenience to themselves, and since we book readers don't find reading books to be a bore or a chore, we would argue that our generation should LOVE books, and read them all the time!
Well ladies and gentlemen, our argument just got 10 times stronger. I shant be so bold as to claim this thought as 100% original with me. But these facts did come to me without the help of anyone else. And they are:
Not only do books hold an exciting, emotionally gripping, and often educational experience for the reader (and soundtracks and sound effects, if you're like me :D), they are also EXTREMELY convenient, portable, fun to hold, easy to pick up and put down whenever you want, and on top of that, they emerse the reader in a vast and often epic experience, while at the same time, NOT BOTHERING ANYONE ELSE IN THE ROOM. I mean COME ON!? How convenient, efficient, and entertaining could it get?? (Not to mention GREEN). FORSOOTH, BOOK HATERS! TAKE HEAD, FOR YOUR ARGUMENT DOTH LOOSE ITS WATER UPON YOUR HEAD, AND CAN THENCEFORTH HOLD NO MORE!!!
