Ahh, Hill!

Well, it's over. But to quote a friend of mine, "Don't frown cause it's over, smile cause it happened."
This year was very different to say the least. Much of the same people, and yet, alot of people missing. People who had so much flavour (with a 'u' because it's fun that way :)to the week. At least to my week. Therefore I found myself hanging out with people I rarely hungout with before, or had never even spoken a single word to. THAT was nice. But it was just generally a slower, less interesting week, for some reason. Now don't get me wrong. It was a good week. It's always a good week. I talked to and hung out with Elizabeth Honeycutt a bit after realizing I had pretty much never spoken a single word to her before. And you know what? She's a really cool person! I had the great privilege of meeting the Nicholsons, with whom I formed nearly instantaneous fast (strong)friendships. It was as if we'd known each other for years. Just in general I hung out with people who had always been there, but I had kinda always taken for granted, like Julia and Elsie, and Hannah and Allyn Sweeney (is it odd that most of these people are girls?). And then people who had always been there but I didn't really know so well, like Ayva Hanssen and Joe McCanless. And of course, I hung out with me ol' shipmates Stephen Dalton and Rachael Watson, and Rachael's friend Ashley.

I felt I had graduated this year, in the leading department. During one of the morning assemblies, Bro. Larry asked Stephen and me to pick a song and lead it. Just like that. THAT was cool. And then a didn't lead again until Friday night, when I lead Blest Are the Sons of Peace. Needless to say, I was quite nervous, but it turned out really well, even the held note I tried to throw in there.

All in all, it was a good, different, week.

Camp is coming up (or rather, has already started)and I am DEFINITELY looking forward to that. It'll be good to hang out with lots and lots of long long long time friends.

-yours truly, Claudius Maximus.

p.s. ashamed to say I have no pictures. But seeing as there are literally hundreds on Facebook, I refuse to feel guilty.
